One of my friends took me here for my birthday. I ordered the Carribean Jerk salad with a lime vinaigrette dressing which was pretty good. The hostess and waitress were both very young and both were friendly and accommodating. The establishment was adorned with flat screens so we could watch the Pens game. I ended up spinning the wheel for my birthday but when I got the movie pass they said they had run out so I got a $10 gift certificate. I give this place 4 stars because it seems like a pretty nice down to earth establishment. In addition, my salad was pretty good and the service was friendly. Since I'm more into ethnic cuisines I probably don't see myself coming here that often but I'd definitely recommend it at least once or if you like American fare.

I stopped by here a couple of Fridays ago with 5 other co-workers for lunch. It had been awhile since I had been to the North Park Lounge and this place was looking pretty good. The thing that left the biggest impression on me was the large number of TV's along the wall with an equal number of different sporting events on them. For lunch I decided to order a large pepperoni pizza for myself. Within a reasonable amount of time from ordering, the food for our table was brought out to us. This pepperoni pizza had a medium thickness crust and ended up tasting decently. There was nothing really memorable about the sauce, cheese or crust of the pizza but the pepperoni ended up being pretty good. It was smaller slices of pepperoni and they were cooked so that all of the edges started to curl up a bit. Overall I wouldn't confuse this pizza with one from a place that only makes pizzas but at the same time it was certainly better than a frozen pizza from the grocery store. The bottom line for me is that I might head back to the North Park Lounge again in the future. While it wouldn't be on the top of my lists of places to eat at, I also wouldn't avoid heading here.

Had dinner here for a meeting. Ordered the NPL burger. Good choice. Hand pressed, cooked as ordered and plentiful...Togo container is a definite. The fries are pretty awesome, too. The seasoning on them was a nice salt with almost a citrus taste? A little parm...whatever it was, it was good! Other meals ordered at table, fish sandwich, cod medallions, quesadillas, French onion soup. Portion sizes are large. The service was great and they gave us a room with doors that we could shut so the conversation during the meeting was easy to hear. Two of us went for happy hour prior to....4 glasses of wine for 11.50?? Deal!!! House wine (which is fine by me.) Heavy pour as well. Non happy hour price...27 for 4 glasses.

First time here, love the tvs on each table! Watched the Pirates up close and personal! Our table ordered pizza, wings and pasta with meatballs. The food was great! The meatballs were huge and the garlic rolls were out of this world! Amanda was our server, she was very attentive and made our experience great! Thank you!

As of 8/22 new menu - big mistake. Brought up the limited selections to the waitress and she replied "we are a sports bar, we're not focused on dinners". When I asked for pepper jack on my burger - we don't have pepper jack cheese. They offer a steak salad and a steak hoagie, but no steak dinner. Only adult chicken entree is "chicken tenders". The entrees include 3 pasta dinners, 2 fish entrees, and the chicken tender entree. Oh wait it is also pasta night. Removed 4-5 tables to add a milkshake bar which really doesn't jive with being a sports bar. Cranberry Sports Grill just pulled way ahead...

Originally was going to the Bamboo bar behind NPL to watch the pens game but could not get a table so we walked on over to NPL and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. The Bartender was attentive which is usually more than can be asked for at a typical sports bar. Great lakes Burning River was on tap which i don't see much around here so that was a positive. I ordered the Ricotta and roasted tomato flatbread. I was surprised by how tasty this was at a sports bar! The cheeses blended nicely with the spinach, tomato, and onion topping. It was cut into 8 portions so I shared it with my dining partner. My dining partner ordered a steak salad without fries and said it was good-of course that is a hard entree to mess up. We also ordered 6 beers total-2 of which were beers on special during the game-and our total bill was $65-waaay more than I anticipate on spending at a sports bar. Overall the food we ordered was good and the varieties of beer on tap were good just the bill was more than we anticipated spending for a weeknight out to watch a game.

Greez, I wish I had good things to say, but the service and quality of food was just bad! I realize an individual waitress/waiter can REALLY impact the quality of your visit, but the food was worse than the service! The waitress was extremely rude and in a hurry which caused her to mess up three of eight orders. Once the orders were corrected, it was 40 minutes before those respective guests ate their food. The kid's meal that we ordered was a simple hamburger and French fries; that came rare!!! We didn't notice it until my son had already eaten 40% of the burger! Yuck! AND, after finally receiving the correct pulled pork sandwich (WITHOUT COLE SLAW), my niece had to remove the pulled pork from the bun because of how wet the bottom bun was! The manager DID remove the kid's meal from the bill and gave us a free dessert; that why they got two stars and not one.

This is a man place. Let's face it, ladies. Everything about this place says man. Wood paneling says man. All those TV's say man. Same with the "art work" hanging on the walls. Man. TV's above the urinals, says man, (don't ask me how I know about those!!!). The "Deck House" out back is even more so. My bf goes here a lot and he likes it. After golf outings. Sometimes after work. As for me, I give the place a thumbs up. For him. Friendly hostess. Good service. Decent food. I took the bf here recently for a "surprise-runaway-from-work" lunch date. It was a late lunch, around 1:00 pm. Not too busy. Full of men. I got a simple chicken quesadilla. Packed with a lot of yummy white meat, it was more than I could eat and I took half of it home for later. The bf got a Reuben. It was packed with meat, served on marbled rye with fries. Fresh cut fries. Typical bar type food. They have lunch and dinner specials. I think that is one of the many things that keep the guys coming back. Well, along with the lovely decor and cheap beer.

I was trying to eat healthy, so I went for the strawberry chicken salad. Sad trombone. The berries were good, the chicken was good, the lettuce was good, but there wasn't really anything spectacular or tasty about the dish as a whole. I don't know exactly what it needed, but I do know I only ate half of it and was still hungry for something else.

Good, not great, place. As others have said, this is a sports bar, not a gourmet restaurant. Decent beer selection and your basic pub-like food. Good place for dinner with kids. We don't need to worry about kids being noisy or fussy.

Let me start with a bit of a disclaimer: I was staying with my parents for 3 months before moving from Pittsburgh to Denver. They live less than a mile from this place. As a result, we spent a LOT of time here to get out of the house. This is a great place to grab some drinks, or some dinner, or some appetizers. The space is huge and the menu is just about as large. Typically, I'm not a fan of the huge menu, but somehow it seems to work at this place. I think that's because I was here so often, I wasn't always in the mood for the same thing. They have bar food, they have pasta, they have pizza, they have salads. Pretty much anything you might be craving, you can find it or something close on the menu. I was here a few months back on a visit to my parents and was pleasantly surprised with a turkey club on a pretzel roll. It was awesome. The drinks are reasonably priced, and service has always been friendly and consistent. They have a good happy hour, which is hard to find in this neck of the woods. It does get really crowded for hockey and football games, but it's a sports bar, isn't it supposed to?

I've been here a couple times both in the restaurant and the deckhouse. The food is just ok and the deckhouse atmosphere is pretty good. Last time I was there with a group of people, I told the bartender EVERY time I ordered a drink to put it on my bf's tab. At the end of the night, she still put ALL of mine on my friends tab.

Went with a large group. Had reservations for the large group. Warned them that they need to be certain they have enough help on hand to handle. High end group, frequent dine out types. Food was good- nothing special. Service was incredibly poor, especially when they had correct reservations for the group. Took almost 3 hours to eat and reconcile the bill. They also missed out on a considerably larger bar bill- they did not have enough help assigned to handle. But plenty in main dining area, which was all but empty. Very very poor. Highly unlikely the group- and probably most of those who went to try them for the first time,. Too bad, because was one of my favorite spots. Will probably never go again, and most of the group left pretty disappointed.

We went here for lunch with about 20 hockey players/parents. They set us up in a nice, enclosed patio area that had flat panel tvs with the hockey game playing, and a huge fireplace that made the room nice and cozy. The food was good too - I had a really good beer-fried pastrami sandwich and homemade chips. My son had an egg/bacon/cheese burger. He said it was good too (he is a man of few words).

Eat here often! They did a great job remodeling it because they needed it. The San Fran Cobb salad is the best. Not bad wraps and wings either. Tons of tvs so it makes watching the games nice but compared to Buffalo Wild Wings TVs, they don't have anything on NPLs.

Food was unimpessive. I would like to try the Medures dish. I used to live in New Castle and Medure's had a great red sauce. On thepositive side the atmosphere is decent for a sports bar, probably a notch above most in the area.

Stopped in after work for a little time to relax with some friends. There is a large Bamboo Bar and deckhouse in the back that was hopping and has so many TV's. We went into the main building to the bar and it was not as busy. Nice atmosphere, good service and very reasonably priced drinks! We split some pizza, Lounge Fries covered with cheese and bacon that came with some ranch dressing for dipping and Nachos covered in cheddar cheese, taco beef, diced tomatoes, lettuce & jalapenos for some good heart stuffing/stopping munchies. The food was OK, though not a real fan of the pizza. Pizza was thin crust and firm but the sauce had an off taste that just didn't make it for me.

The Deckhouse is my family and friends' good old standby restaurant. I like that it's in that nether-region between Cranberry and Zelie, away from the action, and is super convenient to where my parents live in Glen Eden. I've never been crazy about their parking lot, however. Unless you get lucky, it's likely you'll be parking in the lower lot next to the actual deckhouse. We always get good food and decent service here, and often place orders for takeout. My personal favorites are the Lounge Lickers and the garlic wings, the bbq chicken flatbread appetizer, and their grilled vegetable-and-rice dish. Really, though, there's nothing I've tried from here that I haven't liked. As for Sunday Brunch, however, my parents and I tried it once and we really weren't impressed, and we aren't exactly a hard crowd to please. The MTO omelettes were extra, the cold salad selections were skimpy both in variety and portion (they ran out of fruit for a long time), and it just wasn't great overall. Stick to what you know, Deckhouse: lunch and dinner.

Good not great, typical menu with something for everybody. There is a game room down stairs so if you need a break from the kids they can go play. Out back there is a separate bar that gets going on the weekends. Nice place but I don't think it is anything to go out of your way for.

we had gone on an epic journey in search of my elusive next dishwasher. (don't ask cuz the story's too long, but suffice it to say we finally bought 1, now begins the 4-6 week wait for it.) we began in castle shannon & ended up in erie, yeah, erie, for a dishwasher!!! we were now on our way home, without a dishwasher, & we were tired & hungry! i went through our enjoy book to see what coupons i had!! we chose the lounge on rt. 19 to soothe our disappointed bodies. this place is huge. plus, it's 2 different buildings! the deckhouse out back is a giant bar. it was packed. we went to the restaurant which you get to by walking through another bar. it was empty, too nice a day, everyone was out back. but the restaurant was packed. we opted to sit at a booth in the bar. we had the bartender all to ourselves! she was really nice. the ceilings are high, cathedral ceiling high, so sounds are amplified. we got a glass of wine for $5.50 each. nothing exciting, my choice for red was cab or merlot, but decent. i got the shrimp bruscetta pasta for $14.99. it came with a salad & the homemade "garlic lover's" rolls. tom got the giant fish sandwich for $9.99. they have a smaller 1 for $8.29. he also had sweet potato fries. our food came quickly. tom's fish was HUGE!!! no lie, he broke it in 1/2, put a piece on each bun & the fish hung 2" over on all sides!!! needless to say, he was quite happy with it & was too full for dessert! (that doesn't happen often!) the pasta was made with diced tomatoes, fresh basil & linguine in a white wine sauce, with shaved parmesan cheese on top & a good balsamic drizzled over top. the shrimp were succulent & perfectly cooked. i'm getting hungry just thinking about it!!! BUT, the best part of my meal were the rolls!!!! i want the recipe!!! 3 of them on a plate sitting in garlic butter. you'd think they'd get soggy, but no! when you pulled on them to break a piece off, they DEFLATED like a souffle, or a balloon!!! they were SO light, airy, soft! omg!!!! they come as appetizers too, so i will defintely remember that!!! i could make a total pig of myself & eat platefuls of them! the bill for all of that goodness was $38, minus the $10 for the enjoy coupon, $28 plus a tip! SO worth it!!!
